Arpa
ԹՐՔԱՀԱՅ??? TRKAHAY?? WTH does it mean?? What an oxymoron!! Does it mean a Turk that is Armenian? Or an Armenian that is a Turk? I will leave it here to subsequently further develop and embellish. Edited September 23, 2005 by Arpa
Arpa
You will notice my signature below, which is a quote from Sevak's Anlreli Zangakakatun. It refers to the time when Komitas who, salvaged from Trkahayastan was brought to Ejmiatsin. And when he sang, in Turkish, it brought tears to Khrimyan Hayrik's eyes. "Երեւի այդօր- քանի դար հետո- Երկինք ու երկիր հաշտվէցին նորից... Երեւի այտօր քանի դար հետո- Հայաստան բառից պոկվեցին ընկան Ռուսա-ն ու Տաճկա-ն" "It seems from that day on, after so many centuries, "Trka" and "Russa" were forever severed and fell from "-Hayastan"." It refers to how from that day on Armenians became one. Not Turkish Armenians or Russian Armenians anymore. This subject has been discussed to the ground in reference to Eastern and Western Armenian ("dialects").

You will notice that the very nickname was an Armenian creation. The Turks had no equivalent to it, neither did the Persians or the Russians have equivalents to Parskahay or Russahay in their respective languages. And while w're at it, let us see how many more "hays" there are. You fill in the blanks. I will run the gamut of the alphabet with "Afghanahay....to.....Zuluhay". Arpa
"Zuluhay" yerpek cheyi imatsadz. style_images/master/snapback.png Don't believe everything I say. Sometimes I pull peoples' leg and at other times I make up deliberate inaccuracies to test peoples' attention. "Zuluhay" is a total invention of mine. There is no such thing, but as I said to run the gamut of the Alphabet the roster of nations begins with Afghanistan and Zululand if there were such a country would be the last. phantom22
What about Chinastantzi-Hye from Harbin? e.g. Perhaps Armena in this Forum? Don't believe everything I say.
