ARMINFO. The spouse of Armenian President Bella Kocharyan and the spouse of Russian President Lyudmila Putina opened a Center of Russian Book in Yerevan in the building of Armenian Society of Cultural Ties and cooperation with foreign states. The center will contain a library, video materials and reading hall. New Russian editions are to be presented here in future, as well as meetings with writers, scientists and specialists of Russian Language and Literature will be held and jubilees of the leading art workers of Russia and Armenian will be organized. Besides, a kiosk of Russian books and periodicals will open. Armenian Ambassador to Russia Armen Smbatyan says that the library has already received the first lot of Russian publications of 3,000 volumes. Which have been provided to the Center by Chairman of the Council of Federation Committee for Economic Policy, Entrepreneurship and Property Hovhanness Ohanyan.
