But Kazza is right - I am looking for the original image that inspired that sort of stuff. I think it is from a picture or engraving (steel not stone Kazza - unless you mean litho!) by a man named Chanik Aramian that was first published in 1861. MosJan Posted May 5, 2001 Report Share Posted May 5, 2001 This is part of the Echmiadzin treasures,this is the original , at this time it's hanged at Echmiadzin museum, i have took this picture not more than 10 days a go . my guess is that many artist have made similar carpets, rugs , engravings in a time. The real original is an engraving - look at bottom of the carpet, it has copied the engraving so exactly that it has followed the custom of having the engravers name on the right, the artists name on the left, and the title in the middle.Steve Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
