Bible that Survived the Genocide
In this video Collections Curator, Gary Lind-Sinanian walks through our Genocide exhibit to talk about one of the most precious objects from this exhibit. It is a bible from 1817 that was acquired from Syria and donated to the Museum by Arthur T. Grigorian. A shepherd's dog found it buried and after specialist Dr. Davit Ghazaryan from the Matenadaran saw it he was able to provide some us with further details. The “Treasures from Our Collection” video series is intended to share items from our collection that are not on display. It is sponsored by a generous donation from Michele Kolligian, President of the Museum’s Board of Trustees. Don't forget, membership supports our mission to share Armenia's history and culture with the world: https://www.armenianmuseum.org/member...
