Those from Haleb, specially those of Aintab heritage know this;

“Ալլաբանի կիդիին մը? Ջաթլախ քէբաբը յիին մը“?

Meaning ; Did you go to Al Laban, did you eat liver khorovats?

Al Laban is the name of a one time river in Aleppo, also know as Quwaik, that flowed from Aintab to Aleppo, which all but dried out when the turks cut it off.

Halebtsis call milk “halib” and to them “laban” is matsoun/yoghurt.

According to some sources “laban” means white.

Was that character called “laban”/white because he may have been an albino/սպիտակամաշկ? People without melanin pigmentation, that the furks call “agh baba”, the basis of the so called Armenian surnames like “aghbabian”?

I wish the editors of this internet version of the Ajarian would get off the inference that the Armenian language is a dialect of fu*kish.

When they so sloppily ascribe everything to furkish, like “yoghurt/եղուրդ, եողուրդ”

Of course, neither Ajarian nor anyone else deal with the word “yoghurt”, assuming that, just like all the dictionaries, it is furkish, I.e not Armenian.

Ajarian does trat the word “matsun/մածուն” and cocludes that it is from the Arabic “ma’joun”/”kneaded.

Here is what the Hanrgitaran says about Matsun;

Կաթնամթերք Ստեղծվել է Հայկական ԼեռնաշխարհումՊատրաստում են եռացրած եւ սառեցրած կաթի հետ մակարդ խառնելով

Further, matsun/yoghurt is what is left after the butter is extracted. Se “manl/manotsord” above.

Here is what Ajarian says. Of course, it is no secret that Ajarian was born in stanpoul tourkastan and his first mother tongue was tourkeren. Look what he says about “yoghurmak/shaghel/շաղել/շաղախել” . Not unlike when Ali Suat (Arguplu) argued that “yoghurt” is from the furkish “yogurmak” to knead. If it is so, then why don’t they call bread, kneaded flour/dough/շաղախուած ալիւր խմոր, “yoghurt”?? Instead, they call it ekmek, some here call it “akmak”. What kind of “akmak/ahmak/fool/idiot” do they take us to be?

We bring bread/lavash to America, we call it “akmak” we bring yogurt to America we tell them it is furkish, we bring coffee/sourj to America and we call it “furkish kakee”. My otar/Canadian/English/Welsh sister in law will never use the term “furkish koffee”, she insists on “haykakan sourj”. You may have gathered that I don’t conform to your definition of an “apostolic Armenian”, neither does my brother. But we have a rule in our house. There are virtual signs all over saying ;“No furkish spoken here”!!! Is it because we know Armenian and we know what is (furkish), and not Armenian?

Ինչպէս որ Աճառեանի բառարանն է ասում. «Մած» արմատ բառը մաքուր հայկական է, որից կազմուել է արաբանման, սակայն հայերէն «մածուն» բառը:
