A good friend of mine, born in Halep of Aintaptsi parents who spaks furkish with the Aintap accent had gone to Aintab. He had met an old bearded man and asked him if there were any “ermenis” there. The old man, not suspecting had answered- “No. At one time there were some but we fixed their mothers , we slaughtered them!” So! You want to go back to Kilikia? You want to go back to “chukhur ova”, have your chuk cut? Btw. I have heard of that place. Where is it? Not that I care. Never mind. I know that it is the furkish name for the regions of Kilikian Adana , Mersin et al.. It is amazing how some of us know better furkish than Armenian.
