I guess most of you guys don't know about the annual DJ Festival in Yerevan?
Thousands of people gather for a night and there are international djs (from England, France, Ukraine, Russia, Canada, Georgia) and of course a whole bunch from Armenia.
Believe it or not there are lots of djs out here ARMENIAN DJS playing drum n bass, house, trance, hardcore, techno and more.
First two years the Festival took place at the Hraparak and in 2003 it took place at the Swan Lake by the Opera. The pond water was taken out and thousands of kids came out and partied. It was awesome!

I know it's probably not important to everyone but I have not seen him admit in any of his interviews that he is Armenian. Who knows maybe he adopted the last name. But he looks Armenian.

He looks very much Armenianesque without that Mongol influence, akin to the highlanders.

Most of my internet searches were yielding techno or high-energy/euro dance dj's. However, I recently discovered a "DJ Michael Terzian", who specializes in "soulful house music". I've been listening to some of his mixes, and he is definitely good. His website is called www.deepvibes.org. He is from Montreal, Canada. He is also referred to as "Sinister" on the website. They are 3 guys (Deepvibes), and apparently one guy is from Japan.
He has been voted as #11 best worldwide dj in 2002 among a bunch of (IMO) very well known DJ's like Louie Vega, Joe Claussell and David Morales (I actually remember seeing David Morales spin at a party in Nicosia, Cyprus a few years ago. It was incredible! so if that's an indication...).
Wondering if anyone else has found anything,..especially soulful house music?

The latter link is that of his bio.

My webmaster just informed me that we have been getting some hits from this mesage board. After doing a search, i came up with this thread!!!!
I came on this website once to ask a question about duduk music, not realising that I had been mentioned on another thread altogether
Anyways, thanks for the info. And BTW, I was ranked #11 on the 2003 top DJ list, not the 2002 list (I wasn't even on the 2002 list........LOL)!!!!!
