MosJan
Armenian chapel recognized 192d historic building of Stockholm http://tert.am/en/news/2012/06/12/stockholm/ Armenian chapel near Stockholm has been recognized the 192d historic building of the city. No one knows who has built it. According to the talks though, the chapel was built by Ohan Demirtchyan who settled in Sweden in 1860 and became actively engaged in public life of Stockholm. Union of Armenian Organizations of Sweden welcomed the news, saying that the Armenians there have always been interested in the building where sometimes Armenian church ceremonies were served. “We hope the chapel will become important symbol of Swedish cultural heritage,” the press release of the Union states.
