These photos are tragically precious. msn-cry.gif
Thank you Sassun.
Where do you find them?
Where are each taken, aside that some seem to be in Greece.
Does Ruth Thomasian
http://www.projectsave.org/
Know about them?

Hi Arpa

I do not think she knows about them ? I don't know , I have not contacted her .

The 10th pic is in Novorossiisk, Russia..

The pictures are from here http://www.old-picture.com/ , and with the exception of the one in Russia they do not have further info as to where they were taken , I think ... (I need to double check since the ones I posted , I had them on my computer and did not post them directly from the website )

I have more pictures I will post soon .

Sorry, I can't zero in. The above "Refugees" with tents and all is so reminiscent of the "varakha/barracks" camp of Aleppo.
Ask Johannes who may still live at the site that now is known as "Suleymanieh".

They probably don't have the expertise to do that. It is a job, historic materials are not handeled by anyone who has some cheapo scanner. It cost to scan over 20 thousand pictures. Their prime mission is to preserve pictures.

Hmm , ok ...

So maybe they should remove the digital section from the website ? or maybe i misunderstood what was meant by it ?

Yeh, but this is one thing, it is another to give access to over 25,000 pictures from the web. Digitizing pictures takes a different expertise than collecting pictures. We are not talking about scaning few hundreds of pictures.
