Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has claimed his country's response to the Hamas incursion will "change the Middle East". This comes as the Qassam Brigades threatened to execute Israeli captives if Israel continues to bombard and kill civilians in Gaza. Meanwhile, Israel's Army Radio said airstrikes "will be carried out powerfully and widely", even at the cost of harming Israeli hostages in Gaza.
