THE NORWEGIAN GUNMAN CANNOT BE INTRODUCED AS A DEFENDER OF ARMENIANS
Posted ImageIn these days world media outlets widely focus on Norwegian twin crimes, the language and style of which cause lots of questions. Leading media outlets describe the criminal as "blue eyed, fair haired gunman." While, we used to be reassured that terror has no country and no religion, thus the manner of calling shehids in Baghdad "terrorists" and assessments to the Norwegian killer are evidences of failed and paralyzed system of values. After the twin terror attacks in Oslo and at a youth camp outside the capital which claimed about 100 lives, the law enforcement officers revealed in A.B.'s apartment a thick 1518-page essay, which B. described as "Independence manifest for Europe - 2083." A couple of hours prior to the terror act he posted the essay in the internet free of charge, law enforcement officers have already blocked his accounts in social networks but don't hurry to block the essay. In the essay the terrorist has also referred to Abdul Hamid and the Armenian Genocide committed by Ottoman leaders, the forced displacement and activities of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, ruling PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan's strategy, Turkish EU membership, Cypriot issue and the Treaty of Sevr. The essay also covers some information about the war in Karabakh and annihilation of Juga cross stones by Azerbaijan. "Turks have massacred millions of Christians, forced thousands of them to adopt Islam…Turkey is one of the world nations to commit genocide. That nation committed Genocide against Armenians, Greeks and Assyrians," B. writes. "The so called Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus must be returned to Cypriot Greeks, the Eastern Anatolia to Armenia and the Western Anatolia to Greece. To re-Christianize those lands a war should be started. But prior to that Pakistan should be deprived of nuclear weapons which they may provide to Turkey," B. writes in his essay. The Western media outlets widely refer and make quotes to the document, and the Armenian media quotes only those parts concerning Armenians. Do we need a gunman defender? Do we need to link our nation with a man who claimed hundreds of lives inspired by xenophobic ideas? Doesn't this killer resemble to Ataturk and Kemal? The fact that Europe is realy threatened by the flow of Muslims doesn't justify him. This can be turned against Armenia, thus the terrorist should be called a terrorist irrespective of religion and ethnic affiliation.

A WAR LAUNCHED AGAINST TURKEY
  • Posted ImageThe war on Islamic terror and its symbol Al-Qaeda and Bin Laden was declared after the September 11 terrorist attacks. And when in the beginning of this year, the U.S. announced about the extermination of Bin Laden, experts started talking about the change of the enemy. The West has understood that terrorism is just a radical way of expression of a more global process - the Islamic expansion and the East's resistance. Their understanding of this fact became evident when the European leaders started talking about the failure of the policy of multiculturalism. Interestingly, they tend to talk about the Turkish expansion more openly than about the Arab, Afghan-Palestinian, Indian, African and even Chinese expansion.

Anders Behring Breivik of Norway who killed about one hundred people was against multiculturalism and a liberal migration policy in Europe. He stated that "during their history Turks have destroyed millions of Christians and forced hundreds of thousands to convert to Islam. "Turks are the most genocidal nation. They carried out the genocide of Armenian, Greek and Assyrian people," wrote Breivik. Being against Turkey's membership to the EU, Breivik underlined that supporting this resolution would mean promoting jihad. "Why is it necessary to establish ties with a country which wants to destroy us?" writes Breivik, noting that it is necessary to expel Turkey from NATO as well.

Will the events in Norway mark the start of a new movement like the one which followed 9/11? Who will become the target of the new policy? Despite the current prosperity, it is possible that the Western leaders view Turkey as the next hotbed of radical expansion, and now we should expect anti-Turk steps.

Such steps have already been undertaken. Just a few days ago, Hillary Clinton visited Turkey and demonstratively visited the office of the Kurdish party.

The West is clearly using another anti-Turk arm - the Armenian issue. Formally requiring normalization of relations, in fact, it encourages Armenia to put forward territorial and other claims to Turkey. For now Armenia has refrained from such steps, probably due to Russia, but if the Western bloc is formed against Turkey, it is not known how the events will unfold.

"The territory of the so-called Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus should be returned to the Cypriot Greeks, the so-called Eastern Anatolia to Armenians, Western Anatolia to Greece. It is necessary to start a war for the Christianization of these areas. And prior to military actions, it is necessary to destroy Pakistan's nuclear weapons because it can provide it to Turkey," writes Anders Behring Breivik. Naira Hayrumyan

NORWAY TERROR SUSPECT'S MANIFESTO YIELDS INSIGHTS
  • Posted ImageAnders Behring Breivik said he was a boy when his life's path began to turn. It was during the first Gulf War, when a Muslim friend cheered at reports of missile attacks against American forces."I was completely ignorant at the time and apolitical but his total lack of respect for my culture (and Western culture in general) actually sparked my interest and passion for it," the suspect in Norway's bombing and mass shooting wrote in his 1,500-page manifesto.

The 32-year-old Norwegian said it was the NATO bombing of Serbia in 1999 that "tipped the scales" for him because he sympathized with Serbia's crackdown on ethnic Albanian Muslims in Kosovo. He said he realized a year later that what he called the "Islamization of Europe" couldn't be stopped by peaceful means.

Police and Breivik's lawyer say he confessed to, but denied criminal responsibility for, Friday's bombing at government headquarters in Oslo and the mass shooting later that day at an island summer camp organized by the youth wing of the ruling Labor Party. At least 93 people were killed in the attacks.

Breivik's manifesto chronicled events that deepened his contempt for Muslims and "Marxists" he blamed for making Europe multicultural.

Breivik styles himself as a Christian conservative, patriot and nationalist. He looks down on neo-Nazis as "underprivileged racist skinheads with a short temper."

Part of Breivik's manifesto was taken almost word for word from the first few pages of the antitechnology manifesto written by "Unabomber" Ted Kaczynski, who is in federal prison for mail bombs that killed three people and injured 23 others across the United States from the 1970s to the 1990s.

Breivik did not cite Kaczynski, though he did for many other people whose writings he used.

Breivik changed a Kaczynski screed on leftism and what he considered to be leftists' "feelings of inferiority" - mainly by substituting the words "multiculturalism" or "cultural Marxism" for "leftism."

For instance, Kaczynski wrote: "One of the most widespread manifestations of the craziness of our world is leftism, so a discussion of the psychology of leftism can serve as an introduction to the discussion of the problems of modern society in general."

Breivik's manifesto reads: "One of the most widespread manifestations of the craziness of our world is multiculturalism, so a discussion of the psychology of multiculturalists can serve as an introduction to the discussion of the problems of Western Europe in general."

Breivik called his upbringing in a middle-class home in Oslo privileged even though his parents divorced when he was 1 and he lost contact with his father in his teens.

Breivik said both parents supported Norway's center-left Labor Party, which he viewed as infiltrated by Marxists.

In his manifesto, Breivik said he had no negative experiences from his childhood, though he had issues with his mother being a "moderate feminist."

"I do not approve of the super-liberal, matriarchal upbringing though as it completely lacked discipline and has contributed to feminize me to a certain degree," he said.

In Internet postings attributed to Breivik on Norwegian websites, he blamed Europe's left-wing parties for destroying the continent's Christian heritage by allowing mass immigration of Muslims.

Breivik, who described his preparations for the attacks in eerie detail, also anticipated the hostility he would face, even from his friends and family, if he survived his "mission" and was brought to trial.
