TATUL MARKARIAN IS APPOINTED DEPUTY FOREIGN MINISTER OF ARMENIA.

14.06.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. Today the president of Armenia Robert Kocharian signed the order of appointing Tatul Markarian deputy foreign minister of Armenia, was reported to MEDIAMAX in the press service of the president of the country.
Tatul Markarian was born in Kapan in 1964.He has graduated from the institute of national economy and the University after G. Hopkins (USA). Since 1994 Tatul Markarian has held different posts in the system of the ministry of foreign affairs, was the first secretary of the department of Canada and the USA, and later - the counselor in the Armenian embassy in the USA.
Since 1999 Tatul Markarian has held the post of the counselor of the foreign minister of Armenia.
Tatul Markarian is a candidate of economy and has a master degree in international relations.
In 1996 he has been given the diplomatic rank of envoy and plenipotentiary minister. He knows English and Russian languages. -0-
