Usually there are many events in and around NYC during the season. The biggest of them all is the Time Square Gathering that has been happening every year since 1985 (the seventieth)) organized by the Knights and Daughters of Vartan.

This year it e on Sunday April 23. Featured speakers and organizers, among others, will be Joseph Hovsepian, Dr. Arthurs Kuikian and Edward Korkoian.. For details call, among others, Rosine Hovsepian 201-265-1275. I am sure there will be many more celebrities and politicians as well. Rep. Frank Pallone NJ has been a regular feature, he will probably be there this year as well. Senator Schumer NY is anothe regular.

Be forewarned though. As a rule, on that day the Turks will find some silly excuse to organize a counter rally in an adjacent street. At times it may have been International Turkish Children’s Day or some such silliness. I bet you this year they will put on a parade by and for the Turkish Pedophiles’ Day with Ataturk as their model.
