Abstracts of Primary Source Material for the Study of
Armenian Immigration to North America through 1930

This page allows you to search on individuals in all database tables (Ship Manifests, Military, Censuses, Marriages, Naturalizations, Deaths, Passports, Ads, Births), all 23 roles, to find all Armenians associated with a particular street address in North America. The intended use of this query is to help you find all references to Armenians who lived at the same street address in the USA or Canada. In many cases, they were from the same town or village in Turkey or Russia, or were otherwise connected (perhaps by marriage or extended relationship). Some large boarding houses were temporary residences of Armenian sojourners employed at the same factory or location, with no prior familial or geographic connection.

Over time, street names may change, especially the suffixes (Ave., St., Blvd., Rd., etc.). Numbering of houses on the street may change, as well. For example, 208 Solvay Ave. in the Delray neighborhood of Detroit, Michigan (in the 1910's) was changed around 1920 to 519 S. Solvay Ave. It is now known as 519 S. Solvay St.

In the table below, the "Primary Name" refers to the name of the person who is the primary individual on the record involved (e.g., passenger, draft registrant, etc.). In the case where the Address Place is associated with someone else on the record, such as the residence of the nearest relative, the primary individual's name and relationship will appear in the "Other Name" column. Selecting the "View" icon to the left of an entry will take you to the detail record of the database.

The default sort order for this page is By Street Address (within Country, State/Province, and Town); it can be changed to By Name or By Record Date.
