Couple had history of violence, police say
In an off-and-on relationship, police say witnesses saw slain woman and missing boyfriend argue violently.

GLENDALE -- Witnesses recall physical fighting between a 24-year-old Glendale woman, who was found dead in the trunk of her boyfriend's car, and her boyfriend, who is now a suspect in connection with her death, police said.
Police were never called to intervene between Odet Tsaturyan and Artur Khanzadyan, 24, of Glendale, during their off-and-on, yearlong relationship, Glendale Police Sgt. Tom Lorenz said. But witnesses have told police they have seen the couple get physical and throw punches when they argued, he said.

Both Tsaturyan and Khanzadyan were last seen on Sept. 6 as she left for a party, but never arrived. Her body was found Friday in the trunk of Khanzadyan's 2005 Audi in Azusa.
Tsaturyan's 2002 Honda Civic was found Tuesday parked on Paula Avenue in Glendale. Bloodhounds from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department tracked scents from the car back to Khanzadyan's home on the 1900 block of West Glenoaks Boulevard.
Khanzadyan, who had also been reported missing, was initially sought as a "person of interest" in the case. But with the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office determining Tsaturyan's death to be a homicide and the bloodhounds leading detectives from Tsaturyan's car to Khanzadyan's home, he is now considered a suspect.
"We think he's still in the country and that's why we're pushing so hard with the local media," Lorenz said.
Even though Tsaturyan's death has been ruled a homicide, the coroner's office has not yet determined the cause of death, authorities said.
Glendale Police has received hundreds of calls with tips and information about the couple, Lorenz said.
"There has been an outpouring of support to the family and to the Police Department," he said in a statement. "The detectives have received numerous calls from the local community with information. It is reassuring that our local community has faith in our ability to solve the murder and bring the responsible person to justice. I would have to say, we have had more support in this case from the community, than any other in the recent past."
If anyone has information about this case, they are asked to call Glendale Police Department homicide detectives at (818) 548-3987 Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. or (818) 548-4911, 24 hours a day.

The body of Odet Tsaturyan, 24, of Glendale, was positively identified through her fingerprints over the weekend. It was discovered Friday in the trunk of a car belonging to Artur Khanzadyan, 24, of Glendale.
Police found Odet Tsaturyan's car, a silver 2002 Honda Accord, parked Tuesday afternoon near Flower and Paula streets in Glendale. Bloodhounds tracked the scent from the car to the front door of Artur Khanzadyan's home two miles away, but he was not there. Tsaturyan had been missing since Tuesday.
"We've asked all officers and deputies to keep an eye out," said Sgt. Thomas Lorenz. "Luckily, one of our officers found it in our city. That should make it a little easier for our detectives, who are hoping we might find some evidence that will shed some light on this case."
Glendale police first considered Khanzadyan a "person of interest" in Tsaturyan's death, but he is now considered a suspect.
Police were waiting for a warrant to search the vehicle. It was found in a neighborhood consisting of light industrial buildings and residences.
Tsaturyan was last seen alive by her family about 5 p.m. Tuesday, said Lorenz, of the Glendale Police Department. Khanzadyan was last seen about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and reported missing the next day, he said.
At about 8 p.m. Friday, Khanzadyan's vehicle, a 2005 Audi, was found by Azusa police on a residential street in Azusa, about a quarter-mile south of the Foothill (210) Freeway near Azusa Boulevard, Lorenz said.
When Glendale police arrived to impound the vehicle, a woman's body was found in the trunk of the car, he said.
The cause of death has not yet been determined.
In a statement, Glendale police reported concern for Khanzadyan's safety and asked for the public's assistance in finding him.
Anyone with any information about Khanzadyan was asked to contact Glendale police

Armenian guys in So Cal are really out of control. Lets just hope he is not responsible for her death, but we all probably know that he is.
Armenian PARENTS need to wake up and realize what monsters they are raising. Our future is bleak.

Why is it terrible for the guys family(assuming that he is responsible)?
They(the parents and the extended family) created this "person", should they not pay for it now?
