ARMENIAN STARTUP DEVELOPS UNIQUE ONLINE VIDEO EDITOR

The most important thing for startups is to present their idea in
the clearest possible way.

Tough competition and huge range of high tech products will inevitably
narrow the range of possible original ideas, prompting developers to
continuously explore various segments to find their niche markets. A
small Armenian startup studied the market segment that offers online
video creation services to discover that in the era of high-quality
video and widescreen monitors no platform offers relevant services
or a variety of those.

PanARMENIAN.Net - In order to find out what makes Render Forest
different from other online video editors, PanARMENIAN.Net talked to
the startup founder Narek Safaryan.

Each modern user has at least once created a slide show, using
platforms we can easily find on the web. These platforms, however,
enable users to create low-resolution videos without the necessary
diversity of instruments, as they are based on Microsoft PowerPoint
or similar image editors.

The Render Forest team tried to combine every necessary specification
in just one platform. Throughout a year, the team was developing a
prototype, with the full-fledged website launched in early 2015. In
just eight months the startup proved to have a 4000% upsurge in sales,
number of registered users and traffic.

"Render Forest is an online platform allowing users to create
high-resolution videos," Safaryan said. "Around 50.000-60.000
videos have been created since the launch of the website, mainly
presentations, animated and commercial videos, commercials for
mobile apps, as well as slideshows, family and wedding videos
for non-corporate clients. In fact, the website enables creating
high-quality videos of various profiles that other online sources
don't."

The site offers over 100 templates for various commercials and mobile
applications. By selecting a particular pattern, the user can edit
it, uploading photos, music, spoken language, text, choosing a color
palette.

According to Safaryan, currently the website does not offer video
downloads, but will in a month.

"Services are free on the platform and will remain so in case the
users prefer to view the video they created on the Render Forest's
website. Services have to be paid for only if the user wants to
place the content on other websites using two types of paid services:
subscription and one-time fees," the startup founder noted.

With only the desktop version of the platform currently available,
the company will unveil mobile apps for iOS and Android in two months.

Users from 140 countries enjoy services on Render Forest, 35% of
users from the U.S., followed by those from Great Britain, India,
and Western European countries.

The Render Forest is currently a team of 12 (six Yerevan-based
employees, and the other 6 at Technology Center in Gyumri.) The office
in Gyumri won a year-long funding after the team presented the program
at an innovations' contest.
