"ARENI" FEST” Foundation together with Areni village Administration are organizing “Areni Wine Festival 2012” which is an excellent chance to discover Armenia. We invite all wine-makers and all those who are fond of wine and Armenian culture!!!MissionOur mission is to develop Regional and Rural Tourism in Armenia combining with traditional events and ceremonies. Company OverviewEach year in Areni village takes place already a traditional "Areni Wine" Festival, where besides the inhabitants of the region there are also present representatives of various departments.
"Areni Wine Festival" gives a great opportunity to discover Armenia. Those who even once have taken part in Areni Wine Festival in Armenia will never forget the bright impressions. During the Areni Wine Festival you will be able to taste the best range of Armenian wines, which are very highly valued by European consumers.
DescriptionThe "Areni Wine Fetiva"l opens with the bright and colorful and spectacular parade of the best wine-makers, combined with the song and dance combination.
The festival program includes;

“Areni” Fest Foundation” organizes already a traditional “Areni Wine Festival 2012”, which is a wonderful opportunity to discover Armenia. Within the festival we invite wine-makers and those people who like wine, our culture and traditions. Within the festival you are given an opportunity to taste the best Armenian wines.
The festival program includes
· Opening ceremony,
· Professional wine-makers’ exhibition-fair,
· Homemade wine-maker’s exhibition-fair,
· Cheese producers’ exhibition-fair,
· “Armenia in your eyes” best wine label contest (graphic-design),
· “Gold Keg 2012” prize for the best wine among the best wine-producers,
· Homemade wine producers’ contest,
· Excursion programs,
· Carpet exhibition,
· National music, dance, games, theatrical performance.
On the both sides of the road there will be allocated booth for dishes, as for the left side of the road taking to the church there will be allocated tables and chairs creating an open air café, where “Armenian cookery traditions development and protection” NGO will provide exhibition-fair of various dishes. There will be also an open air café where you can get coffee and pastries.

YEREVAN, October 6. /ARKA/. Twenty-one wineries from Armenia and Artsakh (formerly known as Nagorno-Karabakh) as well as 100 local winegrowers will be showcasing their products at the traditional wine festival hosted each year this time by the village of Areni in the southern Armenian province of Vayots Dzor.
Nune Manukyan, the director of Areni Wine Festival, told a news conference today that they expect some 20,000 people to visit the festival, scheduled for October 7.
The deputy head of the State Committee for Tourism Mekhak Apresyan noted that the festival contributes to the development of the Armenian winemaking industry.
"Producers of wine from Areni and other communities not only get an opportunity to present their products, but also find markets. Many of them sign contracts with restaurants, cafes and hotels," said Apresyan.
This year the special guests of the festival are journalists from China and Germany as well as sommeliers from Germany, Cyprus and France.The Areni Wine Festival is an annual All-Armenian event, traditionally held from 2009 on the first Saturday in October.-0-
