but only because of the alnguage they speak.

thats a generalisation.
the truth being that canada is a bi-national nation, both the anglo saxon and francs are as much responsable for the creation of the country, both nations have lived on the land for the same amount of time.
infact, the french population has actually been better treated under british rule then under that of the french crown.

other things to note is that there are french canadians spread out across the country, not just in quebec..what of those?
i believe that complete independence is what will destroy the 'culture' that quebec dearly holds. they have already thrown away the catholic church, which had been protecting their language and heritage. they claim independence in order to protect themselves from the 'sea of anglos' the reality is that no independence will change that, and they are better off fighting that in canada then as independent, where the PQ will run unchecked, bringing in one more disastrous leftwing policy after the other, if you thought the PQ in 1976 was bad..imagine independence.

he was the leader of the Liberal Party youth yes...and that is how politicians get their starts..out of another party...where do you think the bloc comes from? point being, before the creation of the ADQ, quebec's conservative sentiment had no choice but to rally under the liberal banner, after the fall of the UN. now that there is a party supporting the unhappy right-wing of quebec, election tables change.

i do not think that dumont is ready to be premiere yet,(and so does he) but he does have an extraordinary amount of experience for his age. i think that one day, he should have the right to the seat.

im tired of always having the debate between the centre-(left) unionist liberals, and the social-democrat(bolchevik) seperatist PQ.

it is time politics in quebec get a broader perspective.

yervant, he is not a Conservative, but conservative. there is a difference.

and domino, your marxist intrusions and comments are becoming a pain.
