I have this pilates CD which I would like to put on and follow. The problem is, the moves from exercise to exercise are pretty quick, and I can't complete my reps before each one is over. So I was wondering if there should be software that would allow us to slow down the track some. I'm not aware of such in the conventional.

Can you press pause on the exitsing program you use? If distance is a problem, how about a wireless mouse - bluetooth maybe?

Oh and by the way, who is the "us" ? ohmy.gif wink.gif

Edit: I think I have a player that lets you slow down a video or speed it up. Even windows media player will let you change the playback speed in certain cases. But it seems to me what Vava says makes more sense in that you probably want the ability to stop/resume more than to slow down.

Slowing down would be OK. Then again maybe I should handle the mouse. Thanks.

On a different note - I have found on youtube a recording of Rakel Dink's eulogy to her husband. I thought it would be great if I could subtitle it with my translation of the speech. What software do I need for that, anybody know?

I've heard of flv files (flash video) having a size limit under certain circumstances. Have you updated your Flash player to it's latest version?

Haven't a clue - not my PC.
BTW - can I convert .flv files into something else so as to use a subtitle format along with it?

I don't know if/how you can rip .flv format. I'm assuming that with Squeeze or something you could render the video in another format, but I'm not too certain of that.

Here's what I had to do - I sought the corresponding file from the Temporary Internet Files and I saved it in .flv format so as to be able to open it with Riva FLV Player. I also downloaded Subtitle Workshop but then got stuck.

So start again - save the file in Temporary Internet Files as another format that is compatible with Subtitle Workshop - see if that works. smile.gif

Would I then be able to upload that format on youtube - or convert back to flv, for example? I haven't done any of that sort of stuff, so I have too many questions in my head.

I've tried by saving in other formats - wav, wmv, vob... This time it's Windows Media Player that conks out. sad.gif And of course I haven't been able to download the whole of the file.

Would it not be easier just to contact the poster of the video file, hasanabi, and request him/her to send a copy direct to you in the original format?

Those are all bad formats and Windows Media Player is a really lousy player. You should try any other player except that one.

Indeed, that worked fine.
