tsovatarekh
ծովատառեխis it the salmon fish ?

Does not seem like it is a salmon. even if they do jump like salmon. It sounds more like what the jews call salted, dried and pickled - Gefilte fish.
http://en.wikipedia....lburnus_tarichi

Alburnus tarichi, known as the tarek, pearl mullet, Van fish. is a species of cyprinid fish, only found in Turkey, where it is the only fish known to inhabit Lake Van.

In Armenian it is spelled Tyun-Ayb- Ra -Yech--Kh. Or Tyun-Ayb-Re-Yech-Kh.

See pages 2406-2407 here;

From ծով (çov, “sea”) + տառեխ (taṙex, “herring”).

See Ghapantsian page 2140 Where it says tsovayin tarekh is Herring, and that tarekh is limited to Lake Van..

Not to confuse with tareGH the bird.
