Hayots Ashkhar daily reports that while in 1988 the number of followers of religious sects did not exceed 10,000 in Armenia, now, Oct 2013, their number reached the 300 000 mark, which represents more than 10% of the Armenian population. The daily considers this figure as concern since in Russia, this figure would be only 1%.
---
At this rate, in a decade or two half the population of Armenia is going to follow one kind of cult or another. In 50 years the Apostolic would be a minority and Armenia will have a total new face. When the Apostolic have lost their contact with Jesus, thieves belonging to the enemy of Jesus have stole and made havoc midst them, a desert where flowers no longer bloom!

In diaspora the figures would be more optimistic since Armenians of diaspora in general adhere to their old religion and consider the cults as alien to them and to Armenianism.

I regret having responded to this post that is initiated by someone who will fit the definition of a cultist

Yet, let us revisit the threads I cited and see the difference between cult and denomonation

God is speaking here about churches being empty...already churches in Armenia are getting empty of believers because of cults absorbing the parisheners

A time is coming when My churches on earth shall stand empty. Not because My shepherds stop preaching My Word, but because my people shall fail in believing it.

It shall be a frightening time when evil is increasing all around you and many of you – you, My children – not unbelievers – shall think I have surely abandoned you. Those who truly believe My Word shall know this is not true.

The key to surviving this time is to continue in My Word. Keep believing as you always have. Know My promises are true and My Word never changes, though circumstances may and will.

The time I am telling you of is the falling away. My people’s love for Me shall diminish when they do not see what they expect. They expect Me to always make things better, but scripture must be fulfilled, My children, just as when My Son died on the cross. Scripture must be fulfilled so the time may come when I may call you home to Me.

Be strong and courageous, My precious children, for I shall never abandon you  ever! My love for you does not change or cease – not ever.

Remember I have told you these things and be strong for Me. Strengthen your brethren when you see these things happen.

2 Thes. 2-4: That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.  Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Deut. 31:6:  Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Hebrews 13:5:  Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Joshua 1:9:  Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lordthy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Matthew 24:12-13: And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Atheism the Communist cult. Communism and Atheism are separate cults? Not all atheists are members of an organised. Let me put this aside for a while.

Yesterday I was visited by a Jahovas witness, a fellow I once worked with. They have printed a new bible, their bible. It was always a pain, his coming by at inopportune times, to talk about a god he has learned of from another, like him, while nether know the God.

We were very busy readying to leave for the lower ranch. In the past, he was boring but not as hateful as an Armenian that has gone to the other side, but this time I told him, I resented his coming to convert Christians to heretical cult. Him saying, " I came by to see how you were doing" and me telling him: He is lying, he came to show that the ones, who held his leash had rewritten the bible. That it is offensive his talking of a god when he know nothing of the God.

That is what is wrong, the problem with these cults in regard to Armenia. Their intention is to convert Christians away from Christianity.

Glory to our God!
