1st Ottawa Armenian Festival launched in Canadian capital
September 15, 2012 - 17:09 AMTPanARMENIAN.Net - The first Ottawa Armenian Festival was launched in Canadian capital on September 14.
The festival opening was held in front of Ottawa municipality, with Armenian Ambassador to Canada Armenia Armen Yeghanyan and Ottawa Deputy Mayor Steve Desroches attending the event.
The purpose of the festival is to highlight, organize and present the Armenian culture to the broader Ottawa community by showcasing Armenian talent, art, culture, music and history.
The activities to be highlighted include but are not limited to: - Armenian classical, folkloric and popular music, songs and dance performances - Talent and entertainment provided by amateur or professional Armenian artists - Armenian art and crafts exhibit and sale - Ethnic food and fare - Games and rides for children and adults.

That's great news! I think it's a great opportunity to bring the kids and community together for a great event.
