Armenian Germush (Kamurj) village in Urfa province (Urkhan Aedesius) in Turkey and the village church are declared to be a touristic center.
The local manager of tourism and culture in Urfa Selami Yildiz mentioned that it has been done in order to develop tourism in Urfa. The manager said that beside the church which is 10 kilometers away from the city Urfa all the necessary conditions will be provided. “Currently the reconstruction project of the church is being studied. After the government confirms the project we shall look for financial support” the manager said.

Թուրքիայի Ուրֆա նահանգի (Ուռհա, Եդեսիա) հայկական Գերմուշ(Կամուրջ) գյուղն ու եկեղեցին հայտարարվել են զբոսաշրջային կենտրոն։ Այս մասին տեղեկացնում է sanliurfa կայքը՝ վկայակոչելով պաշտոնական հաղորդագրությանը։
Թեմայի հետ կապված հայտարարությամբ է հանդես եկել Տուրիզմի եւ մշակույթի նախարարության Ուրֆայի նահանգային վարչության պետ Սելամի Յըլդըզը՝ նշելով, որ այդ ամենն արվել է՝ Ուրֆայում զբոսաշրջությանը աջակցելու նպատակով։ Նա ասել է, թե Ուրֆա քաղաքից 10 կմ հեռավորության վրա գտնվող հայկական եկեղեցու շուրջը կստեղծվեն զբոսաշրջության համար անհրաժեշտ պայմաններ։ «Ներկա պահին իրականացվում է եկեղեցու վերանորոգման համար անհրաժեշտ նախագծի ուսումնասիրությունը։ Պահպանվող արժեքների վարչության հավանությունը ստանալուց հետո սկսելու ենք ֆինանսական աղբյուրներ ճարելու գործընթացը»,-ասել է թուրք պաշտոնյան

Armenian Germus village, located in the Turkish province of Sanlıurfa, is now called Dagetegi, which means Hillside. "Ermenihaber.am" news site says Turkey's Government has passed a decision declaring the village and the Armenian Church tourism center. According to the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the ministry submitted the proposal which has been approved by the government. Sanlıurfa is historic Urfa. Later it was called Urha or Urfa by Arabs and Turks. Greek and Roman historians say Urfa was founded by King Selevkos of Assyria.
