Alla Levonian Live in Concert on March 29
GLENDALE—The perpetuation of Armenian music, as an integral part of our culture, continues through the commitment and originality of countless artists. Among these is the beloved Alla Levonian, whose immeasurable talent captivates audiences worldwide.
The Armenian Relief Society of Western USA will be presenting Alla Levonian live in concert on Saturday, March 29, at 7 pm at the United Community Church, located at 333 E. Colorado St., Glendale, CA 91205.
The artist will perform both new and classic folk and national songs. Accompanying her with Armenian folk dance performances will be the renowned Zvartnots Dance Ensemble, headed by Artistic Directors Vartan and Armine Aghajanyan.
“Preserving our cultural identity remains a fundamental part of the ARS mission. Given our firm belief in this goal, our Board’s objective is to present an exceptional event for the public to enjoy. We look forward to community support for this concert.” said Lena Bozoyan, ARS Regional Executive Chairperson.
The program will also feature performance by singer Hovhannes Shahbazian.
A second concert has also been organized in Northern California to feature Alla Levonian on Sunday, April 6, at 4 pm at Mills High School (400 Murchison Dr., Millbrae, CA 94030). This event is being organized in collaboration between the ARS “Garin” and Hamazkayin “Nigol Aghbalian” chapters.
