Spanish Valencia recognizes Armenian Genocide
June 10, 2017 - 10:51 AMT

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Spanish city of Valencia on Friday, June 9 adopted a resolution to recognize the Armenian Genocide.

The city council condemed the first genocide of the 20th century, calling on the Valencian parliament, the Spanish government and Turkey to follow suit.

Earlier on June 3, the Spanish town of Sueca recognized the Genocide.

Sueca and Valencia thus joined dozens of other Spanish towns, as well as the regions of Aragon, Balearic Islands, Basque Country and Catalonia which recognized and condemned the mass killings.
