Maral, I love your name. And that list of yours is pretty interesting. I didn't know that there were so many short Armenian girl names. If I had a daughter I'd like her to have a short Armenian name (and of course, the reason is that it's easier to pronounce for non-Armenians). I always thought that I'd like my daughter's name to be Sona but now I think that Maral is a very beautiful name too.

Maral, I thought Sevan was a boy's name and Sevana is a girl's name. I know someone who's named Sevana.

Azat, I think Anahit is one of the most beautiful Armenian names.

Biurakn, Ani, Arpi, Arpa, Biaina, Arax, Adrineh, Yeghisapet smile.gif

Really, you can pretty much name your daughter anything. Just go through Armenia's nature and history (rivers, lakes, cities, ancient countries) and you'll find plenty of inspiration.

Sevan is a unisex name, although I've mostly heard it for girls.

Welcome to HF HighMare and good luck with the kid!

Noticed these two - just seems like there is only a difference of the -d at the end when compared with the words for the two in neighbouring languages.
