THE RUSSIAN EMBASSY IN ARMENIA REFUTES THE STATEMENTS OF ARMENIAN MASS MEDIA ABOUT THE FORTHCOMING RECALL OF AMBASSADOR DRYUKOV TO MOSCOW
15.06.2000 17.20
15.06.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. The press secretary of the embassy of Russia in Armenia Vladimir Tkachyov reported to journalists that he has no information about the fact that Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Russia to Armenia can be recalled to Moscow.
We will remind you that this information was spread by Armenian mass media. "Aravot" paper, in particular, stated that the discontent with his activity expressed by some high rank Armenia officials gave rise to the coming recall of the Russian ambassador.
"We do not know who spreads such information in Armenia press", said the press secretary of the embassy of the Russian Federation. Mr. Tkachyov also informed that Russian laws do not envisage any concrete terms for ambassador service. -0-
