The very fisrt love story I saw that made an impact (at very young age in Yerevan)...

Inchu E Aghmkum Get@?

"Yete hrashqner kan, de du ches gna...."

"Tvabanutyun e... yete du gnas, lav klini meki hamar, vat klini yerkusi hamar.... yev yete du mnas, vat klini meki hamar bayc lav yerkusi...."

"Vat e, shat vat"

"Mite aytqan vat e...? "

And the endig when Armen writes "Seda" on the wall of her house..... it definetly spoke to me... it was all so innocent .... smile.gif

I start these wonderful threads and then forget all about them! Excellent responses and some are very strange.

"Though a Glass, Darkly" the Bergman film? Romantic?? I would never have thought someone would characterize it that way. As a matter of fact, I can't think of any Bergman film that is romantic. He's too cynical to be romantic.

You're right, it was a mistake. For some reason I always mix up "Sheltering Sky" and "Through a glass darkly." I don't know why but I do.

So it's "Sheltering Sky"

hmmmmmm. disturbing movie...

Extremely disturbing, but I found it extremely fascinating. There was something sadistically romantic about it, not to mention perverse, but I loved it! I think I kept on insisting that you watch it.

That is a beautiful movie true Anoushik.

Vertigo

Roman Holiday

Moonstruck

Brief Encounter, British 1945 with Trevor Howard

Pretty Woman

I forgot all about Moonstruck, I love that movie!

I don't know about Verigo. There isn't much romance there, just obsession and intrigue, but both characters didn't really develop any romantic connection. But I guess to some it may seem romantic.

I remember it as "Ukrasheniya Straptivovo," is that how they translated it to Armenian? biggrin.gif

Thank you for reminding me, I totally forgot about that one. It's such an awesome movie and is very fitting of the romantic category. I watched it, I can't event tell you how many times.

When are you going to come up with English subtitles, does anyone know? Is there any way I can get the subtitles?

"Tghamartik"

"mimono"

"menq enq mer sarere"

"sopranos"

"he godfather part 1 & 2"

"princes honor"

"one flew over kukus nest"

"rome"

"saving private rian"

those movies always make me cry msn-cry.gif

If a movie makes you cry it doesn't mean that it's necessarily romantic. "He godfather" is that a new movie? Never heard of it. huh.gif

Interesting choice, I would have thought that Terminator 1 is more romantic.

Seriously, how is Godfather II romantic? Maybe it's a romantic portrayal of mobsters, but there is no romance between people.

No it's not romantic. It's just that I like that movie that's all. The scenery and time going back and forth is just nice in that movie - it makes it very dramatic. smile.gif
