I know this is a very discussible announcement, but i'm publishing this in case someone will finally find out the truth. I did not have time to make research on it, but i heard from many non-armenians from Rostov and Moscow, saying that the constructor (designer) of TU airplanes was armenian as well. Rumours were that he's real name is Topolian and he is from Rostov's armenian heritage. As you know the city of Rostov was founded by armenians. For many years it was known as Nor-Nachichevan. But then renamed in Rostov. There is one of Russia's most impressive armenian community. About 200.000 folks.

I know that the actual mayor of Rostov doesn't seem to like armenians and he does all to rub off the armenian heritage of the city. On the official Rostov city website you won't find anything on armenians in town's so-called official history.
