My fellow Armenians! I'm looking for Sevak poems in Armenian. Know any site? Greatly appreciated.

I wonder why everybody is looking for Paruyr Sevak while we also have Rupen Sevak who is also considered as a good poet. Is it because they understand him less(western armenian...)?

Good point! All here are eastern armenian and they do not know much about wwstern armenian writers...forgive them for what they don't know and post some of R. Sevak's work. You can make my day!

Aren't we getting a little bit out of our way in claiming who knows or doesn't know what? And why is the assertion being built of a negative premise?

Everybody can ask for whomever he/she wants, and everybody may present whomever he/she may choose...

Poetry, I didn't mean that somebody was heart, but wanted to point that you have the opportunity to present any poet - Western or Eastern Armenian, or Congolese. If you think, somehow, people are not interested in the Western Armenian poetry, why don't you generate the interest by introducing them?

Though I have to tell you that anybody who is well aware of the Eastern Armenian poetry, is well aware also of the Western one.

Dragon,

Siamanto, Misak Metsarents, Daniel Varouzhan, Grigor Zohrap...and all other Western Armenian writers are included in the text-book "Armenian Literature" from 6th to 10th grades in the schools of Armenia.

yes, actually I have a text book from Armenia and all these poets are included in this book that's how I typed them and that's why I was amazed that nobody was interested in them.

Can we post image files?

Poetry, check this, for example, poetry: http://armenians.com...c&f=21&t=000001 .

Yes, you can post images, as long as they are from an internet cite.

The command is "[img]the address of the image site" />" without the quotations signs.

Hey hey ... can we pleaaaaaase not start with the Western/Eastern issue and can we pleaaaaaaase refrain from judging people's knowledge of poetry (or lack of it)?

Dragon, if you are so interested in Western poetry, post them yourself and make your own day why don't you?

Poetry, let's see what you've got

Are you looking for image files or text files? I think in the near future there will be a web-site that will have Sevak's poems in a document format. There are a few people working on the project.
