In our culture there are similar expressions, like - “Inch e por@d vord e inkel?”
Yes, “kerm” in Persian does mean “worm“. Look at the sound of both. Yet, is it possible that “kerm” is also related to “germ”?, even if the Eng. dict. Says it is from the Latin “germe”, http://www.wordinfo....o/view_unit/903
not to forget the Armenian word “serm/սերմ” to mean seed sperm.
It is interesting that the Armatakan says “serm” is derived from the PIE “ker”.

Stone Narek or Book of Lamentation
A huge stone resembling an old manuscript with inscribed lines and images from the Book of Prayers (Book of Lamentation), “Speaking with God from the Depths of the Heart,” by St. Gregory of Narek (Grigor Narekatsi, 951–1003, monk, poet, mystical philosopher and theologian) has been unveiled in Narekatsi district of Avan administrative region of Yerevan. ‘Narek’ is not simply a piece of literature, but ‘sighs of the heart’, edifice of humble faith and salvation. Carving master, resident of Avan, Hamlet Matinyan worked day and night for six months on the monument with no financial compensation. Armenia’s top leadership, including the president and Yerevan mayor, were present at the ceremony.
