ՀԵՔԻԱԹ, ԱՌԱՍՊԵԼ, ԱՌԱԿ, ԶՐՈՅՑWhat is the Armenian word for “heqiat/ՀԵՔԻԱԹ”?
http://hyeforum.com/...=0Is it patmutiun, masal as per Sukiasian(below)?
Is it առասպել, շինծու պատմութիւն, manufactured story?
Below will see tat the word is based on the Arabic root word of “hak” /talk, speak. Not to confuse with “haq/حق”/ hakh/right/իրաւունք as in “hakhverdi/իրաւունք տուաւ/տուող”.
So, based on the above, should the proper Armenian word be “zruyts/զրոյց”? or as in the Marash dialect “zratsk/զրացք” where it is said -“Բիւզ պարմէրը զրացք էրաւ/ the wh*** mother in law spoke/complained”? I hate to tell you what in that same dialect “զռացք/զռոցք” means**. A hint- the “sound of an innocently dumb animal“.
Allow me to ask one more time. What is the Armenian word for “heqiat/heqyat” .Is there one?
----
Heqyat/Հեքիաթ Anecdote/Nuktah*, Masal/mathal, Parable/Proverb, Առակ/ Առասպել
See where the words are common with theArabic.
حگایت Heqia(t) plural حگایات Hiqaya(t)**
*In common vernacular the T, TE marbouta/linked T-ending is elided to A or AH, except in the formal literary. Therefore in vulgar Arabic the Armenian Heqiat would have been “hiqaya/heqaya/Ասացուածք“. (plural)
نگته Nukda=witticism, anecdote. Caution. It is pronounced “nuktah” , if pronounced as “nikta”, it will mean a taboo phrase that I will not translate.
I can’t find the etymology of heqyat/ հեքիաթ, naturally since it is a foreign (non-IE) word, it is Arabic. Except the Soukiasian Dict. Says
Հեքիաթ = պատմութիւն (անիրական) մասալ**
* Please use discretion when Websters says it is from the Greek to mean “unpublished“;
Main Entry: an·ec·dote
Pronunciation: \ˈa-nik-ˌdōt\
Inflected Form(s): plural anecdotes also an·ec·dota \ˌa-nik-ˈdō-tə\
Etymology: French, from Greek anekdota unpublished items, from neuter plural of anekdotos unpublished, from a- + ekdidonai to publish, from ex out + didonai to give — more at ex-, date
My paperbound copy of the Websters says “heathen” is from the Armenian word “hetanos”, which was amended/expurgated in subsequent editions. Don’t take the “WORD” of so called dictionaries seriously, they are so open to “amateur” input when they also say “yogurt/yeghurt/yeghord” i.e “mnatsord” what is left after the fat is taken out is a furkish word, just because some illiterate furk said so. When did they have a “language”?
** This is Arabic as well “ mathal/مثل” where the TH turns to S in popular vernacular. It simply means “parable/proverb**/առակ/ առասպել/”. see the biblical book of Proverbs/Առակաց . Also consider the Engl/Latin word "model"
**
I hate to ask this. What is the difference betweem զրոյց and զռոց?
Is it like saying "Մենք զրուցենք, թող նրանք զռան"?
**The hebrew word for proverb/ԱՌԱԿ is "mishla" ,mishlaY is the plural.
Some day we will see the conncetion between առակ and անառակ/prodigal.
