COGNAC PRODUCTION GREW BY 3.1 PER CENT IN JANUARY-FEBRUARY 2010 IN ARMENIA
The production of cognac amounted to 1.7 million liters in January-February 2010 in Armenia, 3.1 per cent more than in the same period of last year. According to the National Statistical Service of Armenia, in January-February the country produced 673.3 thousand liters of vodka, 60.5 per cent less than during the first two month of the previous year. In addition, the production of wine in January-February 2010 increased by 33.6 per cent reaching 574.9 thousand liters, against 430.3 thousand liters within the same period in 2009. During the first two month of 2010 the country produced 956.1 thousand liters of beer, 75.5 per cent more than in January - February 2009. The production of sparkling wines has almost doubled (to 95.5%) reaching 29,4 thousand liters.
