My first reaction when I saw this video a couple days ago was that it's likely a typical Glendale style insurance scam. It was done very cleanly and almost too perfectly with no one around to be injured. There are cameras from all angles to catch it etc.

Construction work has been pretty slow and this is a good way to get a few guys to make some trips to Home Depot and get some nice re-decoration done.

Also notice "no charges were filed"... how convenient.
