Disgusting! man I'm so mad about these turks they get to get our churches! even in kars and they get to make money off tours it is disgusting.

However, it was derelict and not being used a a church in the decades before the war. It was closed during the Soviet period, and the main mosque in Shushi was also closed (in the 1980s it was being used as a marriage registry office).
