Will someone please help me understand who it is that is forcing us to call those bosha SSO’s “*****”!
Not only here but even such well read publications as ArmeniaNow (see Action News Alert) seem to be obligated to call those SOB gypsy murderers “*****”.
Speaking of turkification, next we will start calling Robert *****, Paruyr *****, Komitas *****. Of coure we adore that "turkish ***** /prince" known as Andranik Ozanian.
I GIVE UP!!!
mad.gif mad.gif
Is it not time to call those SSSO's by their proper title like murderous SOBs?

Arpa we should call them with the turkish word (posha). You used Bosha above is this the same as posha or it means something else?

I don't quite know what the turdish word "posha" is, unless you "posht/pusht".
Bosha is the transliteration of the Armenian word բոշա which stands for armenianized and Armenian speaking gypsies.
I would much rather call them (eshek) "bokh@".

Oh, I see now. You mean "bosh" as in empty/parap. Sadly enough that word can be found in the Websters meaning the same. Her is what the dictionary says; bosh- interjection (turkish) to mean "nonsense".

its important to realise Andranik Zoravar was givin the name pasha from turks as a respect, and carried out became a householed name among Armenians in Anatolia.

and spesificly reason was, when Andranik was fighting in Bulgaria against otomans, he captured a turkish general but was set free by Andranik (I forgot the turkish generals name) as a result he was called pasha

I hope you are not suggesting that since Turks call Soghomon Tehlirian "terrorist" we should also refer to him as such.
Oh! btw, when we some days unite with our "brothers", kiss and hug, the Andranik can resume his *****-hood, just as when Phantom/Hagarag/AH will be restored to his ancetral khoja-hood.

What were the synonyms, "bosh" as in Turkey. Or was that the bird?

Gitem Edo jan.
Boghos Nubar-n el "*****'-i titghos uner.
Those were times when we were servants/slaves of the ottomans. Does that mean we should continue to be enslaved to them forever? They call us many names as well, among which "pis ermeni/dirty Armenian", does that mean we should call ourselves keghtot hayer ?
Is it not time to be what we are, and not what the turk says we are, ***** or bosha!!

Shat lave em haskanum.
We use a lot of foreign words, many from that blasted language. Oddly enough, eastern Armenians use them more simply because they don't where it comes from, they take them as Armenian.
We use a lot of those words, specially in songs and poetry, like "yaman yar" (neither yaman nor yar are actually Armenian). But do we have to use them in formal Armenian and specially in forums that the entire world reads?
Which brings to mind those ugly and insultful surnames. Please don't get me started as I cannot think of any civil language to deal with the matter.

Aye, aye sir!! Our supreme commander (Hi Garo!), MosJan.
Your wish is my command.
Yet, any time, any one with those disgusting turkish surnames comes here and talks about the Genocide, and how bad turks are will be SHOT ON SIGHT. I don't have a turkish surname and I talk about the Genocide, that most shameful, if tragic era of our history as little as possible.

Agreed??
So, be forewarned all you guys with sunames like Eshek-oghlu-ian, or Kara-bokh*-ian. Clean up your act before you speak about Armeno-Turkish affairs.
*Made up surname. Means black-sh*t in turkish

This is a whole another subject. We can go there if you will.
In the meantime;
It is as simple as ABC.
We know that “aslan” means lion/aryuts in that f***en language. Many Armenians have that surname, just as “Kaplan”-ian/ tiger, even if nowadays many of the “kaplans” are Jewish Turks? Or Turkish Jews , if you will.
You have many easy choices.
You may choose to go back to pre-Vardanants and adopt a name like Khorkhoruni or Khorenatsi, or translate it to Aryutsian.
No!
That will be too cumbersome, internationally speking.
Just as I have preached about to not try and translate what our Turkish surnames would be in Armenian, like Demirji(oghlu)-ian to Darbin-ian(I'm gonna get that idiot that goes by Stepan Demijian, (Some of us may have had the deccy to covert it to "Darbinian, or "Tarpinian", in that MQ Istanbulian transliteration) who contends for the prsidency of Armenia, I would much rather have someone with a surname like Demir-el than Demirji-oghlu-ian, invent a new name for themselves before they run for the presidency of Armenia, unles they think Armenia is a province of of Demirel's "homeland" .
Forgive me! I go in a tizzy, and I see sparkles when I see Armenians with Turkish surnames.
Who is forcing us???
And as I have said befoire, come here and talk about the Genocide.
Who is comitting genocide? Us or them?

In your case would be as easy as ABC.
Above we see that your surname is based on “aslan/lion/aryuts” and you are a child of that leontine dynasty, i.e, a lion’s cub. You know that we have a word for that- “koryun/կորիւն”.
Need I say more!!
Use your proverbial “Armenian genius“ to liberate yourself from that anitsyal Ottoman bondage.
How about “Gorunian/Korunian”?? Or any variations thereof?

BTW. As we were surveying Masis Ler at Khor Virab, an Armenian Kurd who told me his name, Assad was a variation of Azat(maybe?)..Are you ready?.. was in fact the Arabic word for lion(asad). He was so relieved, once a gain feeling like a lion, waiting to liberate that “den of hyenas“. oops.gif, did I say “hye-na-s”? Make that ,“turk-e-na-s”
