Thanks Nané! But I'll have to disappoint you.. I've tried to make fesenjan before, even with a VERY detailed recipe, and it turned out absolutely miserable. sad.gif It's one of those either you have the golden fingers (like Azat and Vava), or you don't (like me..).

Did you have pomogranate molasses? Usually that's the key. If you have options, maybe try a different brand.

PS. I have a question. Why is it that when "pollo" means chicken in Italian, in most Persian recipes it (polo)is interpreted as "rice" when rice in Persian is "birinj" much like the Armenian "brindz"?

Barska-hye's also say "plav" which is probably comming from the same place as the english pilaf ... my guess is polo is from those roots (the cooked version of the food) where as my guess is brindz/berenj is the rice grain itself.

Yes, I had all the necessary ingredients, which tasted lovely on their own.. I gave it three shots before I gave up for good.

Yum! You guys are making me hungry tongue.gif
Nairi - I dont' make Fesenjan. My wife (an odar) just loves it, so she's the one who makes it. And as a bonus, she uses my Mom's recipe... lucky me!
I clearly favour Duck fesenjan over the Chicken variety - but both are delicious. Nan. your herb omelet sounds great too... man, I got to get me some food!
