We had a chance at a free  1997 Sidekick that needed a motor. A 4 door, 4 wheel drive with automatic transmission. Wife asked if we could put an engine in and have it ready for her 17th birthday and graduation without her knowing. She has been in an Australian School of Distance from grade 1 through grade 12,

We a neighbor and I worked on it at his place. We found an engine that was being removed from a 1994 car. Installed seals all around and in the tranny. It took about 15 hours, a couple hours at a time, but we did it.

She was very suprised, the thought I would be resurrecting an old jeep we have on the hill for her as we found time.

Here she and her sister inspect the car.
