THE VICE-SPEAKER OF THE ARMENIAN PARLIAMENT OFFERS TO REDUCE THE NUMBER OF BANKS.

14.06.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. "For such small country as Armenia to have 31 banks is a too lavish", stated the vice speaker of the parliament Tigran Torosian speaking at the session of the National Assembly of Armenia.
Noting significant positive changes in the banking system of the country, Mr. Torosian stressed at the same time that in the banking system it will be expedient to realize a merging and accumulation of capital. The vice speaker also said that the country can get out of the crisis economic situation only at the active cooperation of the Central Bank and the government.
