I have no problem with that because I do not listen Turkish music, it isn't my style.

BTW, isn't it true to say that most of the music you listen and play is German? Could the same not be said?  smile.gif

Domino, I didn't see your post smile.gif

You can't possibly compare Western Art Music with Turkish pop? Are you serious? smile.gif

That must be the reason why many people refuse to listen to Nazi music. smile.gif

The point is that Turkish music is as much art as any other musics... you like it or not. I don't see why someone hearing to it should be cursed.

You like German classical music, and probably listen and play more of this than Armenian music, who is to tell you that you are doing the wrong thing, it is a question of taste. True, art is part of culture, but if someone doesn't like Armenian "art" (music, painting, poetry etc.) there is still many other things like Armenian dishes, the language etc. Art should be preserved, but not imposed.

Back to the topic, we have no idea of the intentions of the singer, and the Armenian man that was responsable of this, not knowing their intention, we can NOT judge them, we should not jump to conclusions without knowing more about it.

Don't know, for me it is a question of taste, I don't like NAZI music because the German style is too much accentuated and there are too much repetitions.

The same with me. I like the lighthearted Italian style. smile.gif Wagner scares me. The Atonal composers give me the creeps. biggrin.gif They call that repetition Leitmotiv. Lazy Germans. tongue.gif

The only "German" I like is Mozart. Maybe because he was a crypto-Italian. smile.gif

I have much respect towards German art, music and culture. I can't say the same towards the Turkish music and culture. What culture?

By the way, this has nothing to do with Turkish "art". This has to do with Armenians stealing Turkish music and singing the music with Armenian lyrics and Turks now doing the same, yet for some reason some of us can't handle that and are genuinely surprised.

If so, then why are you people suddenly surprised?

... I can't really say that I've heard many Turkish singers sing but I've heard Armenian singers and they sound very much Turkish and Arabic.

You mean Armenian music will sound Arabic or Turkish? Not at all Movses, not at all.

There could be some similarites that a Westerner could pick out (just like we can see similarities in Danish and Swedish folk music - if we were to study, and I've heard their folk music) but of course this has to do with people living close together. Nonetheless, Armenians have their own unique music style and musical language - why use some other nation's melodies when we have our own beautiful melodies? And why not look at our musical language to compose new Armenian music instead of plagiarizing music from another nation?

Let's start a movement against Armenian music which is too influenced by Arabic and Turkish.
Starting with all the disgusting rabiz music out there.
