There is a Mexican actress named Rosa Gloria Chagoyan. My Mexican friends swear she is of Armenian descent, but to me the name doesn't sound familiar. Many Iranians also have surnames ending in "ian" or "yan." Has anyone heard of this surname among Armenians? She is the star of many adventure, shoot em up movies such as "Lola la Trailera" and she often appears on Mexican telenovelas(soap operas). She does have a Middle-eastern appearance, so gootse vor haya!
Is Chagoyan an Armenian surname?

Steve,
I have encountered that last name before. I am pretty sure it is Armenian.
