The only problem with the highway LAN is that you can't really see the laptop display too well in a car (can you tell I've tried? )

Like HERE. Last May, I drove most of the way from Utah to CA looking at the laptop screen trying to read what the HECK was wrong with my engine But at night, it's perfect!!! Notice the missing passenger seat

Fortunately, I can hookup my new laptop to my LCD screen it the car since laptop has TV out built-in. But it's still not good for reading text.

While my friend drove to San Diego for a demo with HDS about 3 years ago in his convertible, I was making chnages to the core of our product my old Toshiba Tecra. By far the best laptop I have had for it's given time. I have owned faster and slicked laptos since, but for that time it was the best. The screen was just so bright and great.

I was actually reading about that C3 processor not too long ago ... seems very interesting and has the potential to kick some serious butt in the low-end stuff ... they use a .13 process and the chip is supposed to be ultra small and power efficient. I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up in some low-end ultra-cheap PDA/Laptop hybrids.

Man, there always seems somthing wrong with your engine, are all American cars this unreliable. In Australia, the US built Jeep imports are one of the most unreliable (and worst built) cars around, despite their high price and luxury image.

Yes ... american build cars and trucks are VERY unreliable in general. But I wouldn't drive anything else ... especially 4x4s and trucks.

Plus, parts here are abundant ... so if you know how to fix things, it's better to have a chevy than anything else. I personally despise all fords ... among the "big three" in the US,(technically chrysler is daimler benz now ) FORD is BY FAR the suckiest. I'd say GM is in general the best, especially where trucks and 4x4s are concerned.

But I haven't had too many problems with the blazer. It was just that one time in Utha... oh and this other time where my 4x4 control module failed (some computer which controls the transfer case). But I only have 25K miles on it. I wouldn't keep it much after 100K miles ... especially the way I am using it

Okay, Google once again has announced a new toy this week. That is 3 all together this week.

Froogle - http://froogle.google.com/ - Just like the name suggests, it is a shopping assistant to find the cheap products. I like it alot.

I think the people who run Google now are doing a GREAT job. They won the search wars about 2 years ago(and have kept improving that technology even to this day) but now are going after markets where they can use the power of their search technology to improve the entire company portfolio.

Altavista ? Whats that ? Its like I have already heard of that thing, in a distant past ? I have no idea what this may be, even if the name sound familiar.

Bro, these are major failings, and the car is only 1 year old (2001 model?). I mean, in Sept 2000, my father bought a brand new Toyota Hilux 2WD utility (2.7ltr 4cyl). After about 6 months I had a major frontal accident in it. And despite this, and the fact that it gets worked hard (very hard, once we loaded it with 1.7T, the max is 1T, the rear wheel flaps(?) were dragging along the ground and there was hardly any traction in the front), it has not had a SINGLE major or minor failing.

Movses, is right Toyota rules, thats why im not scared of forking out AUS$25000 on a 10 year old Toyota Supra.....

Not even for a second. Those things, even the "base models" are 2.5x more expensive than a fully loaded BlaZeR2. Plus I don't mind bashing the blazer on rocks here and there ... the other thing is, the blazer is much smaller and much more maneuverable than the Landcruiser ... especially when it comes to trying to park it at UCLA. I can fit it ANYWHERE

But I can tell you straight up that the TRD toyota pickup trucks are superior to the S10 ZR2 trucks that chevy sells (the S10 ZR2 platform is what the ZR2 blazer is based on, but with a shorter wheelbase). If they offered the TRD toyotas in an SUV version, I DEFINITELY would have gone with that. But since the blazer was so damn good looking, I decided to go with that instead of the TRD ... but now they offer the "double cab" pickups which can easily sit 4 people. I think I may have gone with that if it were available back when I bought my blazer.

But as of right now, I think Jeep has EVERYONE beat with the Wrangler Rubicon. If I were to buy a new car, that would be my first choice ... no doubt about it.

I see, I went to the GM site a while ago and found out that the Blazer costs around US$27000, thats approximatelly how much the base-model Landcruiser costs here. The Blazer may be manouvarable, but half the engine cutting out in the middle-of-nowhere doesnt exactly inspire confidence.
