"BLOODY AXES" PROTEST ACTION TO BE HELD IN AZERBAIJAN

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 16, ARMENPRESS: The number of violence against women
ended up with the murder is increasing. 35 women have been already
killed by their family members this year. "Clean World" public union
has decided to organize a protest action in Baku with "Bloody axes"
slogan to grasp the public attention at the women's problems within the
family in Azerbaijan. As reports Armenpress, the leader of the public
union Mehriban Zeinalov has noted in the interview with Lent.az that
some discussions on the violence against women in Azerbaijani family
will take place in the framework of the demonstration.

According to him the main event will be held in the international
press center of Baku. The participants of the demonstration will
be the outstanding men, Azerbaijani political figures, deputies,
cultural representatives. They will try to find the reason of the
violence against women and its solution.

The "Bloody axes" flashmob will be held in the center of Baku. Women
wearing t-shirt with the image of bloody ax will be holding the photos
of the women murdered this year.
