CHAT ROOM

To enter the chat room you need to click on a link located in CHAT section of our forum. The link is
/cgi-bin/forum/ultim...bb.cgi?ubb=chat
Teh chat room configured to automatically signin you into the chat room using your member name. Sometimes it may happen that it won't be able to do so. If you get 'No nkckname given' message in the opened gray window follow these steps
1. Click on Disconnect button located on that window.
2. Click on Config button
3. Type your name in Nick Name input box
4. Click on Connect Now! button.

I'll try to figure out why it sometimes doesn't automatially do this later.

To invite other users into chat room you need to click on Send an Invitation link located above the gray window. It will popup a window with the current online users' list. You check the user(s) you want to invite and click on Invite Now button. The user who you invite will get a message box inviting to chat room . If he/she accepts it the script will try to automatically redirect him/her to chat room.

I'll write about other features later.

SMILIES

Now you can use many other smilies. The available silies can be viewed
here. To use them in your post you need to open the Smilie List, select a smilie and click on the image that will appear next to the list box.
Example:

FONT SIZES

To make the text's font size bigger or smaller now you can use the SIZE tag in your posts.
Exampe: If I use [ SIZE=4 ]BIG TEXT [ /SIZE ]
I'll get BIG TEXT

FONT COLORS

Use COLOR tag to change the text color.
Example: If I use [ COLOR=red ]RED TEXT[ /COLOR ] I'll get RED TEXT

PREVIEWING THE MESSAGE

Sometimes when you post a message with some UBB code (images for example) it's better to preview the final message with UBB code processed and make sure everything looks fine before posting it. For this you can use the Preview button located next to Add Reply/Post button.

Let me know if any problems.

I don't understand why the forums first page shows the amount of invisible visitors. It makes me wonder... am I somehow visible to visitors when I am visiting?
It's just, if they can see me, I want to be able to see them too, otherwise it's not fair.

I think anyone can make themself invisible. I don't think it's just moderators.

When you're logging in there's an option to make you invisible to other members. They will know that there are invisible members but they can not find out who they are except the moderators and the admin of the forums. They have permission to see the invisible members' name.

I don't want to poke my nose too much into stuff that's not my own and I really appreciate your Forums hospitality but I can't help wondering what's going on in that Private room under General. Is it reserved for the Armenian Secret Service or do you need to meet certain criteria before you are allowed in? If so, tell me what test I need to pass to be granted to be given the key to the door of that mysterious place on this Forum.

I think it must be my female curiosity, so forgive me, i was born with it.

Hello Aghtchik
the Private forum is for administrator and moderators only to discuss questions regarding our forum and our members. As you see there's nothing mysterious.

Aghtchik I'm sorry to disappoint you but you are the only one who sees the pictures you've posted. It its because the image address points to a place on hard drive. While it works on your computer on others it won't. You need to upload them somewhere on the internet and then link to it.

Maybe I should trust myself more. But when it seemed to work I thought that by typing the path to the harddrive the Forum would get the file and put it on the server. But it also occurred to me that if everyone does it you will need a lot of space. Well, what i uploaded, to me it looks ok anyway.

thanks Garo.
