Did anyone watch this video? In the beginning it looks like some Afgani battlefield, later it just looks like some trashy movie.

Why do Armenians have such a difficult time making decent films? Except for Vodka Lemon, I haven't seen anything decent. Oh yeah Azat jan, "Armenian Journey" .... ~

Mos Jan are you seriouos? What is nice about it? It looks very vulgar and low quality. They try to incorporate the rugged action you see in US movies, but since it's not done in Hollywood it doesn't have the same appeal. Personally I really don't like when directors and producers try to imitate something so hard that it becomes very contrived and just plain tacky. Why not stick to what you can do best? But perhaps this is the best they can do, in that case it's really sad.

For instance, France can try to imitate American films, but they are excellent at plot and character development, so their films are slower, more visual and more cerebral. Same with the Swedes. A good example of terrible imitation are Indian movies, they have started to seriously imitate American films and look at the result...although they are funny and you end up laughing, essentially you are not laughing at the intentional humor, but how ridiculous they are.

By the way, I am sorry if I have offended anyone who likes Indian films. To their credit I have to say that they have developed their own cheesy trademark.

Mos jan, I don't get it, what did you like about the movie? After watching 10 minutes of it, I couldn't take any more. Exactly, was it the roaring lion? Or was it a guy in the bedroom with the lady of the night while there was what seemed like a family gathering, and he gets a phone call from his mom and starts acting obnoxious to both? Or was it the really primitive dialogue or a very bad trailor?

I am sorry for bashing it like that, but I really can't understand what was redeeming about the movie?

Does anyone have an opinion about this movie?

I, for one, thought they did a pretty good job. I'm glad to say Xoren has inherited his grandfather's talent. Lusine does not know how to act and was casted only because ... (let's be honest) because of her "ties." But in general, I would say this is the best movie thus far portraying the Xarabagh war.
