I think Sweden may beat them. I don't really understand the hype about England whenever they qualify for world cups. They always suck. smile.gif

Mexico 3 Iran 1 msn-cry.gif

The first half was bit by bit equal with the Iranians having a few close misses. But after Bravo scored Mexico's second goal -which was the defense's fault-, Iran fell apart and that was that. Even the commentator admitted that they were in loss.

Holland's game was solid, and Portugal looks promising.

USA and Italy both dubut tommorow, and I will actually be home this time...

Beckham.

Please...he probably is THE most overrated player in the world (or at least, was). Granted he is one of the best (if not the best) long-ball players in the game and is equally accurate from corners and free-kickers. He has no other standout abilities.

I know for a fact, there is only ONE armenian playing in the world cup and he is in the Iranian team. Too bad they were beaten by Mexico.

Yes, Kudos to the 'roos! Two very smart substitutions, 3 very nice goals. Made for a great start for the day. The highlight for me however was Italy's win over Ghana and those thunderous goals from Andrea Pirlo and Tomas Rosicky who alongside his boys murdered The U.S.

Brazil plays tommorow:

I think you are mistaking him with a Chinese sport/person. Their names tend to be the same smile.gif .

The first one is Ruud van Nistelrooy (aka Rutgerus Johannes Martinius van Nistelrooij. thumbsup.gif

With Pimpong, I cracked up EVERY time they said his name .. oh and I mostly watch the spanish broadcasts because I simply can't stand most of the US ones. Tommy Smith is a big exception and I wish he could broadcast all the games.

Brazil was superb as usual but not as proficient in scoring as I was expecting. Ronaldo turned out to be a huge dud but I was expecting that too. I sort of miss Rivaldo but Kaka seems to be taking over very nicely.

So far, I have had the most fun watching the Australians come back against Japan and the first 20 mins of the Brazil-Croatia game. The South Korea game was good too ... especially when the little koreans went flying everytime one of the Togo guys flicked them ever so slightly biggrin.gif
