ON UNDERSTANDING
************************************
"What dies in man is merely what is subject to our five senses.
But everything that lies beyond those senses,
and, in all probability is immense, unimaginable and sublime,
continues to exist."
Anton Chekhov
Compared to what has been understood by others,
what will be understood in the future
and what is destined to remain beyond human comprehension,
what we know and understand today
must be such a tiny fraction of reality
that it might as well be invisible to the naked eye.
To say I have all the answers is the most effective way
to condemn myself to eternal ignorance and darkness.
To say I know all I need to know is to be satisfied with nothing.
