National Anthem or National (an)Shame?
There ought be a law to stop this singing of the National Anthem at every trashy event, and dragging it to the level of the sewer!
Why do some of us feel obligated to open an event with National Anthem, be it football, baseball or any other goofball?

http://sketchedout.files.wordpress.com/2007/11/ratrace.jpg

Why do some Armenians insist on opening every event with the singing of Mer Hayrenik, and or the obligatory Hayr Mer, regardless that it may be a Khashapatoum/Khashlama festival. OK! Herisapatum! What is so sacro-sanct about a "khash-fest"?
Why do some of us feel obligated to stand up an cross our faces before every spoonful of khash, accompanied with jiggers of oghi/vodka?
What does "khash" to do with "khach"?

Speaking of “WORD malfunction” Who the hell is this bimbo? Why was she chosen to sing the National Anthem? Who the hell is she, who does not know where her vorik and beran are was chosen…
Where is the Barnum and Bailey “Freak Show”?

Remember this garbage?

I agree with Roseanne. When the National Anthem is being sung many spit and scratch their crotches.

Whatever happened to those days!!! Even if he, just as Roseanne are of hewish heritage.

OH!! Say can you see? When the National Anthem was dragged to such trashy depths!!

Indeed dear Arpa. Also we would be in much better waters if we also adopted separation between church and so called "state" in the diaspora.

How about our good old composers stat composting new anthems for each event? Such as a football anthem for a given country, then a national football anthem and eventually world football anthem. That would be something everyone would work on, keep em busy for a while.

Yes Yervant, the Armenian of Compost/Compote is “khoshab/khoshaf”. :goof:
See # 4 here;
http://hyeforum.com/...showtopic=14897

In addition . “khosh-ab/khoshaf” sounds Persian to mean khosh=happy”(alcoholic) and “ab=water”.
Please Ashot, we love you. You added a T to “compose”. An obvious typo I‘m sure? :)
That is where you gave yervant the license :P
