New Young Life Armenia Camp!
We have exciting news!  Young Life has purchased a camp property in Armenia!!

What a perfect location for God to place a camp! And not just any camp, but a world-class camp where thousands of Armenian kids will experience the best week of their lives.

Located just 90 minutes from Yerevan in Artavaz, Armenia, along the Marmarik River, the site was formerly used as a Young Pioneer Communism camp for kids between the ages of 10 and 17. With the fall of the Soviet Union and Armenia's independence in 1991, the camp was abandoned. The existing structures on the property have fallen into disrepair, but most are still stable enough to be renovated.

Our immediate goal is to beautify the grounds, connect utilities, and renovate the dining hall and one dorm by June 1, 2014, to allow for campers in the summer of 2014.

This past summer over 1,900 Armenian kids attended Young Life camps for a total of 53 days. We rented facilities, pitched tents and still needed more space as kids were clamoring for the opportunity to get away from the pressures they face. We could have doubled the number of kids attending had we a camping facility - so we are extremely excited to offer camp to more kids in Armenia in the years to come! Won't you help us with this amazing project?  We will be arranging for missions teams to go over this summer and support the renovation project - we are happy to work with your group to provide an amazing trip!

For information on expedition trips contact Carrie Fraser at cfraser@sc.younglife.org. We are in the process of planning trips for June, July and August of 2014. We would love for you to join us!
