THIS IS THE BOMB!!!

Google has done it one more time. They are just incredible company in my opinion.

Microsoft Windows Memory Diagnostic.

I liked this little free utility a lot. Just boot to it using a floppy or the provided ISO CD image and it'll put your system RAM through various stress tests to see if your RAM is reliable or not.

I have to tell you guy, the internet without Google would SUCK.

check out their latest tool.

http://labs.google.com/personalized - Google Personalized

from Google site

What is Google Personalized web search?
Google Personalized web search delivers custom search results that are based on a profile you create describing your interests. For example, people with an interest in the outdoors will see different relevant sites for a search on "bass" than people who are interested in music. Google Personalized web search is currently available in test mode on Google Labs, where you can create and save your profile and see results tuned to your preferences. Your results can be instantly rearranged by dragging a slider at the top of the page to go from no personalization to full personalization or anywhere in between.

Ok. I used to get SUPER ANNOYED at the fact that windows (no version that I know) has no built in utility to print directory contents and filenames. I use to use screen grabs - but you can't put into a txt editor to format the content as you would wish. So I had found a solution, albeit not a very intuitive:

Old solution below - but I doubt you'll need to use it, 'cause I just recently discovered
Directory Printer. It's very easy to use, and it allows you to Print directory contents, file attributes, dates, filesizes, folder information and totals. You can also save the data to a txt file, and use it in any editor to format exactly how you want. thumbup.gif

Old solution:
CODE
- Open Notepad, or other text editor, and type the following into a new document: (assuming the printer you wish to use is connected to LPT1 -  printer port #1).

CD %1
DIR >LPT1

- Save the file into your C: \Windows\Command folder, and call it [B]PRINTDIR.BAT[/B].
- Find the file in Explorer, right click on it, and select Properties.
- Click on the Program tab, turn on the Close on Exit option, choose Minimized from the Run list, and click Ok.
- Next, run the Registry Editor (click START, then RUN, and type in REGEDIT)
- Open My Computer\ HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ Directory\ shell.
- Select New from the Edit menu, and then select Key.
- Type ‘Print’ for the name of this new key, and press Enter.
- Highlight the new Print key, select New from the Edit menu, and then select Key again.
- Type ‘command’ for the name of this new key, and press Enter.
- Double-click on the (default) value in the right pane, and type ‘C:\Windows\Command\PRINTDIR.BAT (assuming that C:\Windows\ is your Windows folder).
- From now on, when you right-click on a folder icon, you can click ‘Print’ to print its contents.

This assumes that your printer is connected to the LPT1 port, which is true for most users. However, if your printer is connected over a network or you have more than one printer, you need to change LPT1 to the correct port.

If you can't afford Adobe Photshop for $649, you may want to try GIMP which is free. I haven't used it myself but it looks pretty good for the price smile.gif

The GIMP releases available from gimp.org and its mirrors contain the source code and have to be compiled in order to be installed on your system.
